How much is a gas boiler service, and what does it include? We offer two levels of service depending on your requirements. The ‘Minor' Boiler Service includes a service following the manufacturer's instructions. However, this does not include consumable parts such as burner gaskets, seals or electrodes. We ensure the appliance is operating safely, expansion vessels are checked, condense traps are cleaned, combustion performance analysis is carried out, and any issues with your appliance are highlighted. We always provide a digital certification on completion. The price for a minor service starts at £90+VAT. The ‘Full Monty’ boiler service includes all of the above, plus a complete strip-down clean of the main heat exchanger, a replacement burner gasket, new ignition electrodes, a system health check, a radiator inspection and a full dose of inhibitor in your heating system. Prices for this level of service vary depending on your boiler make and model, please contact us and we will be able to give you a specific price. Please try to have your boiler make/model and GC number available.

How does the booking process work? You can contact us any way which suits you – email, phone call, social media or via the contact us page on our website. A person from our dedicated office team will arrange an engineer visit at a time and date which suits you (subject to availability), and you will receive a booking confirmation via text or email. On the day of our visit, an engineer will call you when they are en route with a specific ETA. Please note that all our bookings are scheduled on a first come first serve basis. We try to be as accommodating as possible to all our clients.
-
Do you have a call-out charge? Some companies charge you a booking fee or a call-out charge before the work has started. We do not! We charge for a minimum of one hour (£90+VAT), which covers the first hour of work carried out, from the time we arrive on site. Please note the fee does not include any materials that may be required to complete the required service works. Any works, over one hour, are explained and confirmed with the client onsite. If any specific materials (not standard we have in our vans) are required or much longer time is needed, we quote for remedial works accordingly. We always aim to complete all required service work during our first visit.

Why do I need a boiler service, and how frequently does my boiler need one?A boiler service is an excellent way to ensure your boiler is working safely, correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. It allows engineers to check the operation of the boiler to ensure minor faults are identified and rectified before they become more serious. We highly recommend all boilers are serviced annually. It’s worth mentioning that if you are lucky enough to have a new boiler, most manufacturers will require proof of an annual service in order to maintain the boiler warranty.
-
Which brand of boilers do you recommend?Being an entirely independent plumbing and heating company, we can install any make of boiler based on your specific requirements. We do not overly promote a particular brand just because we are accredited by them. Of course, we have our preferred manufacturers, but this will always change depending on how well they continue to produce and manufacture their boilers, how reliable they are and how good their after-sales service is.
